Is it possible that an admin add registrations to events for another contact ?

Hi,

i've seen that you can add a participation to an event for an existing contact, but i'd like to use the same register form as the front office one.

Unfortunately, it automatically add it on your contact (instead of creating a new contact), it also enter into conflict with the "no duplicate registration on the same session http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,3888.0.html )

Is there a param that forces to ignore the existing logged in user so the registration form behave as it if was a first anonymous user registering ?

Nope it is not possible currently. I would say admin should signup for event as anonymous user if he want to signup someone else for an event.

Ok, so it means that the admin that needs to sign up two participants needs to:

1) logout
2) go to the registration page and register the first one
3) close the brower
4) reopen the brower
5) go to the registration page and register the 2nd one
6) login

ouch !

The goal was to benefit from the registration form, so you get nicely in one page to create both the contact, his organisation and only the right fields thanks to the profile, the price options and all the nice features...

I need to find a solution, can the "retrieve from the logged in user" feature be hacked easily or is that going to create a bigger problem somewhere else ?

I guess steps should be:

1) logout
2) go to the registration page and register the first one
3) go to the registration page and register the 2nd one

Then you might want to register as admin to check your participant records.

You're right, I'm mixing two issues:
1) a logged in user can't register a new contact as anonymous can
2) The pre 2.04 bug of session that didn't allow to register twice from the same session.
