Membership processing - problems when importing data.
June 08, 2007, 05:32:07 am

I've noticed there is a slight difference in regards to membership processing when data is manually entered as opposed to being imported.

Some details...

- There are several types of memberships available (normal, gold, silver, etc)
- Silver Memberships have a relationship type of "member is" defined.
- organizations can have a membership. In this case XYZ corp has a silver membership.
- Individuals can be members of an organization.

On to the example..

(1) john doe is manually entered, he's then assigned a relationship of  "member of" XYZ corporation.

In the membership Tab, Silver membership status will now appear

(2) John doe is not entered manually, but imported from a rather larger legacy list.

as part of the import, fields are matched so that "member of" XYZ corporation is imported

after the import, one can see that John is a "member of" XYZ corporation

However, the membership Tab is empty. That should not be the case.

Anyone else experiencing the same issue?
