on this web site: http://www.forniture-alberghiere.net I need to import data of thousands of companies from csv files with mapping and to publish these data with a directory.
I was solving problem of import data and directory using jreviews, but this don't support a crm ...
istead civicrm has import and crm but what about directory?
maybe I could connect civicrm with jreviews?

it look to be super for my needings!
just for me is a lot comfortable to can see some demo, it look to don't go online demo of civicrm too and i hope to can see also some live demo of this directory.
1) Do you think will be possible changing templates to get something similar todirectory of my actual web site? for sure I?ll need to give it to some graphic people to develop.
2) do you think that wil be possible to do also subcategories?

I'm checking in these days civicrm and it look super, I was having experience in a half dozen of payment crm and vtger and sourcerforge and this look to be super, simple,and powerful.

anyway I have an important question:
Using profiles to publish my categories, but my categories name are stored only in my csv file names, at my not expert eyes, is look to be very useful to have the possibility to create a new profile for any data import, giving in this way a quick way to understand what I was importing in the past.. it is useful or better if I add a column with categories name or what?

I just don't understand why don't create directly profile, skipping the creation of groups

ok, thank to forum help, i can do directory by hand in home page and subpages or using maybe another plug in and then publish data with profiles of civicrm thank for support
