Can't install - InnoDB is not enabled in the database
July 15, 2008, 10:03:06 am
When I run the installer I get the following error...

Can I access/create innodb tables in the database: InnoDB is not enabled in the database

Where do I go from here? I don't see any way to enable InnoDB in the myphpadmin. Any help would be much appreciated.

A quick Google search comes up w/ several references including this page from the MySQL 5 ref manual: http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/innodb-configuration.html

Uh.... so what do I do?

I looked at that reference and there is a lot of stuff in there. I really am not sure what I am supposed to do.

I am not a programmer but I have installed tons of software on the net (vBulletins, Joomlas, Drupals, WordPress) etc. and I just don't understand what I supposed to do.
