Making a listings page of events?

I need events to show in a listings page -- like this, for example: http://www.offwestend.com/index.php/listing/index/?

Has anyone tried to do this sort of thing?
What would be the best way to go about it?

In 2.0 (and I suppose you're using this version), it's not ready available. There are ICAL and XML feeds that you might want to transform to display the list of events the way you want.

In 2.1 (to be released in ~1-2 months), on "Manage Events" screen, there is an icon linking to HTML listing of events (leftmost icon on the upper right side of the screen). You might want to customise it through custom templates mechanism to reflect your specific needs. You might also want to refer to onscreen help on "Manage Events" screen, which explains the way to manipulate the list of events. All of the above you can test on http://sandbox.civicrm.org/

I think this page is really good & I think quite a few people are using it. It would be great to have it or something similar incorporated into civiCRM as a front end configuration option.
