Stand alone HTML to add contacts?
July 16, 2008, 04:06:47 pm
I'd like to be able to take a block of HTML and use it to add members to my Civicrm database.  For example, I would have check box on the bottom of a contact form on various websites that users could enter an email address that would then add an entry to my CiviCRM.  Like the API setup for Myemma.

Could anyone point me in the right direction, is this a possibility with CiviCRM?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated...

Yes you can do this. You'll create one or more CiviCRM Profile forms:
http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/Profiles+Admin

... and then grab the standalone code for them:

see "Standalone Contact Creation or Sign-up Forms" on this page
