magic installation effect

hi all,

after installationprocess following the instructions for drupal installation, there is shown the civicrm.settings.php in browser, when requesting the homepage.

This accured after solving a rightsproblem for the files/civicrm directories. Before we had a blankscreen, after activating module and blocks.

I have no idea. ??? Maybe someone out there has one?

Drupal 5.1
PHP 5.2.1
mySQL 5.0.37
separated databases for Drupal and CiviCR
php.ini values above minimum

greetings hanteren

if u can see civicrm.settings.php file on screen, the most likely cause is some typo at the beginning of the file

make sure the file begins with

<?php

that tells apache to process it as a php file

thanks, we've changed the editor.

but the blank-screen problem is unsolved... it's real blank, even the codeview is empty.

Check your webserver log for errors - most likely cause is insufficient php memory allocation.
