Using CiviCRM 1.8, when I try to put a line break in a contribution's Receipt Message, I get the following error:

Please correct the following errors in the form fields below:
    * Illegal characters in input (potential scripting attack)

I suppose this is some protection against html and javascript code but I don't see why a linebreak shouldn't be allowed. Is this a bug where a linebreak is first converted to a <br> before it is sent to the validation?

If you're editing ReceiptMessage.tpl - the output from this is a text-only email - so change the spacing by just adding empty lines in the file.

I'm actually not editing a template, I'm editing "/civicrm/admin/contribute?reset=1&action=update&id=5&subPage=ThankYou".
