Is UAS CiviMail SMTP service still alive?

The link in this post (http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,908.msg14562.html#msg14562) doesn't launch the sign up page and the issue seems unresolved even after nearly three months.

I would hate to learn that the service is gone.

As far as I know, the UAS Service is very alive and well. If this is not the case I would appreciate a post becuase we use this service regularly. I do see though, that on the Home page, the url for it no longer appears as a "sub-url" for "CiviMail". So it looks like the support forum link is missing.

Assuming the UAS is still operative:
   Back in March of 2008, Shane sent an email that said: "We have a new site for managing your account details:

https://civismtp.uas.coop/drupal

You are now able to manage all of the details for your domains from the same drupal account rather than having separate accounts".

   You already have to have an account to sign-in. I believe you have to email Shane directly to create a new account.

  Shane: if you are out there please respond and let us know that things are ok (or not).

That link is meant for currently registered users, it seems. There still seems to be no way to sign up for the service, unless it's been discontinued for some reason. A redirect to the existing sign up page or a simple message about the latest situation would be helpful. The SSL for the site seems self-generated so it threw a warning, but that can be ignored.

I was a beta tester (although I failed spectacularly to help Shane), so I am keen to test it out again now that's it's production ready. ;)

Yes, I believe you are right about the link being for users with accounts.  If you want an account, try emailing Shane: shane@uas.coop.

And the support link is still there. I was looking in the wrong place.

This is the only publicly-accesible page about CiviSMTP I've been able to find recently:

But, somewhere in the forum Shane mentioned that his website was wiped out and he just hadn't had a chance to rebuild many of the pages... so you can just email him (address in last post) to create a new account.

hi folks, w e will not be accepting any new accounts for a while.   we are overloaded at the moment and not able to provide adequate support to new accounts.  If / when we get capacity for new accounts, I will announce it here on the forum.

howdy folks,

ok,  we will be taking on new accounts starting on august 11th.

sorry for the short hiatus,  all is OK now.
