Urgent Request - enable edit for registration exposes all profile data
July 30, 2008, 08:59:58 pm
We use profiles during anonymous event registration on our drupal 2.0 install.  I've tried to enable / disable civi ACLs for a profile but the problem is pretty simple:

I want to allow anonymous edit of profiles because that is how i capture info, but i do not want to expose the profiles (ie view) to anonymous users.  when i create an profile, i have "User Registration" and "Profile" options checked.  I have nothing available in drupal ACL, and for civi ACLs I allow Everyone to Edit the profile.

This works fine accept google picks up our profile listing and all user details are exposed with: civicrm/profile?q=civicrm/profile&force=1&gid=1 shows ALL our database info!

I'm sure there is a way to configure this but after several hours i'm afraid i need some help please!

What about creating an empty Group and then pointing to it with the "Limit Listings to Group" profile setting. I think this should ensure that the search / listings url's return an empty result set.
