Simple interface for CiviMail
July 31, 2008, 04:34:11 am
Hi there,

There are 5 screens used to send out an e-mail on civimail. My users will only be changing the title and the content of the mail - all other settings (including the groups it goes to) will not be changed by them. Is there a way I can make the process simpler (e.g. a single screen?)

Eileen

You'll have to write some custom code for this, but it should be quite easy. I can help you out with this on IRC (http://embed.mibbit.com/?server=irc.freenode.net&channel=%23civicrm&forcePrompt=true)

Basically, you'll need to create a form where you ask for:

1. Templated mailing to be used (this can be fixed)

2. The new title

3. The new text / html content

You'll then "copy the old mailing" and change the above fields. You'll need to schedule the mailing also

Thanks Lobo,

I think I'll take you up on this but it's not too pressing so I'll wait until 2.1 work has eased up a bit
