Blank page during event setup
June 12, 2007, 01:25:19 am
I tried unsuccessfully to get custom fields to work in drupal 4.7 and civicrm CiviCRM 1.7.9379, so I upgraded to drupal 5.1 and CiviCRM 1.7.9682.

Now, I have gone through the setup and although it looks promising, I keep hitting glitches:

* I got half-way through creating an event page, but when I try to save the event's address, I get a blank page. I noticed that the URL goes from index.php/?q=civicrm/admin/event to index.php?q=civicrm/admin/event -- the slash after the index.php is gone. If I put it back in manually, I'm brought back to the page I saved, not the next step.

Is this the result of a misconfiguration?

I'd appreciate any suggestions.

David

Again, best to check your webserver log for "blank screen" issues. If other CiviCRM forms are behaving properly - my "guess" would be that you might be running out of memory. You can search on this forum for other posts on memory allocation (issues and fixing).

Not sure where u get the url: index.php/?q=civicrm/admin/event/...

This does not look right and should be index.php?q=civicrm/admin/event/... You might want to check your url settings CIVICRM_UF_BASEURL in your civicrm.settings.php file

Ok. So, I just made all the events optional and then I could create the event.  Now, I have a new problem ... I'll post a new message.
