Sign up for Drupal and Civi in one shot
August 06, 2008, 05:01:18 pm
I have CiviCRM set up with a drupal install right now.
The problem I am having is that new users have to first sign in to drupal before they can sign up for membership status through my CiviCRM. I have a CiviContribute widget on the home page, if aren't logged in to drupal when you click on it, it just brings you to a page that says "access denied".

Is there a way to display these pages without a user being logged in to drupal?

Yes - anonymous users can be given permission for contribution pages, event registration etc.:

Excellent. I was able to fix this problem.

The problem I'm having now is getting the profile I set up to work with my contribution page.
I made a profile and checked the "drupal registration" box and included it in my contribution page, but the profile doesn't appear in the entirety that I created it in my contribution page.

What's more, when I live-test the page, it says that there is a security error 10002.

Make sure all your profile fields belong to either Individual or Contribution. If that doesn't help, replicate this on our public sandbox so we can see more clearly what's happening -> http://sandbox.civicrm.org

When do you get the security error. It sounds like a payment processor error. Are you running the contrib page in test or live mode? Which payment processor? Are you using a fake credit card w/ a live transaction? Please take the time to provide details when reporting problems or errors :-)

Sorry for being cryptic :)

To allow drupal and civi registration at once, I changed the profile fields to individual as you said. I'm using the field "email (primary)" in this profile and this is a preview of the profile I created:

If you would like to create an account on this site, check the box below and enter a user name . If you already have an account, please login before completing this form.
Create an account? (theres a checkbox here)
Username
Your preferred username; punctuation is not allowed except for periods, hyphens, and underscores.
Drupal registration
Please enter your primary email address and create a username.
Email (Primary) *

That seemed to have solved the problem.
But nothing at all is showing up on my contribution page.

What am I doing wrong?

Next, regarding the payment processor "security error"
It was giving me that error on both the live and test pages.

Now, the live page seems to be working except for one thing:
When I select the lowest membership contribution of $25 and I don't enter anything in the additional contribution field, when I get to my confirmation page it's billing me $50 total. $25 for the membership and $25 as an additional contribution but I hadn't entered anything in that field.

Are you referring to the profile problem?

If so, I can't replicate it because their is no "Email (primary)" selection under the field "individual" in the sandbox.

Its so odd. The profile preview looks great.

It just won't appear in my contribution page.
I went to Manage Contribute pages>Configure>Include profiles and selected the appropriate profile on "include profile (top of page)"

Assuming you're running CiviCRM 2.0 - you should be able to replicate your setup on the Drupal 2.0 demo:
