Error "is not of the type Integer" on first user registration, 2.1 alpha
August 08, 2008, 07:00:13 am
Hi there,

I've clean installed the 2.1 alpha version on my machine and once I login with my openid, I immediately receive this error message and cannot proceed:

is not of the type Integer

Anyone know whats causing this and how I can correct?  I have built and populated the database directly from the signup script.

I notice others on this forum have complained of a similar problem with upgraded database.  Is there maybe a way to create a registered user directly in the database and skip this process?

Thanks in advance,
Darren.

This is a bug which occurs when you install standalone without choosing the option of installing sample-data, and when standalone tries to redirect to a registration profile which does not exists results in "is not of the type Integer" error.

Could you file an issue and we'll make sure it's fixed. Also give it a try along /w sample-data and help us finding any other issues/bugs.

Thanks,
Deepak

I'm actually hitting the same issue when upgrading from CiviCRM 1.7 to CiviCRM 2.1.2 with an existing userbase. I already did an extra "Synchronize Users to Contacts" run to be sure. Are there specific tables I can check? I'm not getting this issue on the first user registration but rather on the CiviCRM homepage (/civicrm).

If you can get to CiviCRM Admin pages - then go to Global Settings >> Debugging and Enable Backtrace. That should help narrow down the problem.

Also, did you get any errors during the upgrade?

And... please update your forum "profile" with your environment info (Standalone, Drupal+ version, Joomla + version; PHP version, MySQL version, Operating System).
