Internal Server Error/Premature end of script headers
June 13, 2007, 12:57:53 pm
I am having a difficult time installing Civicrm on Joomla: Here is my config info

Database Version:   4.0.27-max-log
PHP Version:    4.3.11
Web Server:    Apache
WebServer to PHP interface:    cgi-fcgi
Joomla! Version:    Joomla! 1.0.12 Stable [ Sunfire ] 25 December 2006 01:00 UTC

I uploaded and decompressed the most recent joomla installation file for PHP4 - "civicrm-1.7.9821-joomla-php4"
I am installing from a directory.

here is my php.ini file

Code: [Select]
register_globals = off
allow_url_fopen = off

expose_php = Off
max_input_time = 60
variables_order = "EGPCS"
extension_dir = ./
upload_tmp_dir = /tmp
precision = 12
SMTP = relay-hosting.secureserver.net
url_rewriter.tags = "a=href,area=href,frame=src,input=src,form=,fieldset="

[Zend]
zend_extension=/usr/local/zo/ZendExtensionManager.so
zend_extension=/usr/local/zo/4_3/ZendOptimizer.so
max_execution_time = 1000     ; Maximum execution time of each script, in seconds
memory_limit = 64M      ; Maximum amount of memory a script may consume (16MB)

When I try to install I get an apache message saying "internal server error"

I checked the error log and got this message:

Code: [Select]
[Wed Jun 13 11:50:46 2007] [error] [client [i]ip redacted[/i]] Premature end of script headers: /var/chroot/home/content/l/y/n/lynnallan/html/joomla/administrator/index2.php
I called my host, Godaddy, and they seemed to think there shouldn't be anything wrong on their end (suprise).

Has anybody encountered this before? Am I doing something wrong?I appreciate any wisdom and insight you can provide.

Not sure about your exact error but I notice you db version is 4.0 while the min supported is 4.1.

This is for Drupal installs but the same goes for Joomla http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/Install+CiviCRM+1.7+for+Drupal#InstallCiviCRM1.7forDrupal-InstallCiviCRM1.7forDrupal1.ServerRequirements

Can't believe I didn't catch that I was only using 4.0.27. I updated to SQL 5 and still have the same problem. Anyone here use Godaddy? I have edited the PHP.ini to the suggested settings, but I wonder if it is doing any good.

I have also read that you can edit the htaccess file to overide the php memory limit, but that hasn't worked for me either..

I am also using godaddy.com and have the same problem. After I installed CiviCRM, I received a 500 internal server error. I called tech support and they were not able to help.  I also modified both the .htacess and php.ini files as suggested without any luck.
Sorry I do not have any suggestions right now. If I am able to sucessfully install, I will let you know.

Seems a few people are getting this error. I get the same "error 500 :and have the same error in the logs. I posted on another topic. But thought I may as well post here just incase.
I am frustrated and may give up soon which is a pitty as the community seems active and the product looks exactly what I am after.

type in hope,

Mike
