Formating of profiles in the CiviEvent "Thank You for Registering" screen
August 10, 2008, 07:50:35 am
The formating of profile information in the screen at  url: http://sandbox.civicrm.org/civicrm/event/register?_qf_ThankYou_display=true&qfKey=1e0e533a4d38e29c3a133dbda9d95d5d

is inconsistent.  In my test, I have 2 profiles associated with my event:  "Name and Address" profile and "role" profile. For the main/first participant the formatting is as follows:
 <div class="header-dark">  Name and Address </div>
         <-- profile values -->

 <div class="header-dark">  role         </div>
          <-- profile values -->

For each additional participant, the profile formatting is as follows:

 <div class="header-dark">  Participant Information - Participant x    </div>
            <fieldset><legend>  role  </legend>
                  <-- profile values -->
            </fieldset>

       <fieldset><legend>Name and Address</legend>
              <-- profile values -->
        </fieldset>

The current layout would confuse many users ( esp. with multiple participants) .  There are too many dark blue rectagles ( ie <div class="header-dark">  ) I think those should be reserved for major areas such as "Event Info", "Participant Info", "Payment Info".  I think the "fieldset" should be used for the profile labels.

Something I wanted to add to my original post:

The fieldset formating of:
<fieldset><legend>Name and Address</legend>
<!-- profile fields -->
</fieldset>

is used for formatting profiles in other CiviCRM screens. So it would be more consistent with how profiles are formatted in CiviCRM  to use "fieldset" formatting for profiles on the "Thank You for Registering" screen.
