I am at the end of an upgrade from 1.8php4 to 2.0.5php5.
A problem that I though had ben resolved (it didn't appear in my TEST transaction) seem to have never totally left. My first LIVE transaction under the new 2.0.5 has the same error that I thought was fixed and which the issue(#2630) said was fixed in 2.0  I first noticed it during my switch from 1.8php4 to 1.8php5 and that was what caused me to rush my upgrade to 2.0 (It was supposed to be fixed in 2.0)

Up till this Live transaction, all my transactions under php5 had been test. And when I got to v2.0 it had appeared that the old problem had indeed been resolved, but when I did the Live transaction. It was still there :-(  The billing person's name gets replaced with the name of a custom field. See issue at http://issues.civicrm.org/jira/browse/CRM-2630

ARRGH !!!

The issue was labeled "Cannot Reproduce" but I seem to have reproduced it. Has anyone else had experience with this issue? Did it go away on its own? or did you apply a patch to the code or maybe modify the DB itself?

Any clues appreciated.


Strange that the other problem only showed in Test mode but worked find in Live. And this one seem to be OK in Test mode, but fails in Live  ???

Do I re-open the original issue or do I create a new one?

My original Live contribution was on a new page, so just to make sure I just ran one against my original Contribution page. That was the one that I used the Test version of when I got the good result. BTW I changed the msg icon because it looked more mad than the sad I was going for.

lobo referred me to another forum post - http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,3869.msg17286.html#msg17286

Which while it was written for v1.9 , if you take into account the offset changes it looks like it can be made to work for ver 2.0 also. The types of updates being made fit with what i thought the problem might be :-)

If it works, I'll go back and update the issue that I found with a link to the same forum post.

After finding the new location/offsets of the code to be modified. I applied the patches manually and ran another Live test. This time everything seems to be working correctly.  :-)

I have also gone back to the issue that I found originally(#2630) and put this info and the link to the msg lobo pointed me to. Just in case someone else comes looking for the same thing.

Now just a little checking to make sure that I haven't missed anything, and then I can let it go live.   ;D
