The profile based group subscriptions (http://issues.civicrm.org/jira/browse/CRM-2861) will be very useful feature!

I been testing the subscription process for anonymous users using a profile that has 'email', and 'groups' fields. It works well, except that after submitting the form with 'Save', there is a link on the final page that says '» Back to Listings '.  I do not want a Listings page associated with this profile, and all fields are just given "Public" permissions, not "Public & Listing". When I follow the '» Back to Listings' link an error message is given:

"status
    No fields in this Profile have been configured as searchable. Ask the site administrator to check the Profile setup."

Unless there is something I'm missing in configuration, the current behaviour seems problematic to making the group sign-up usable.

Ideally after submitting the profile, the final screen in this case would not have a follow-up link, or else would have a customized link that could be set on the profile settings. A practical option would be to just not show the "Return to Listings" link if none of the profile fields have "Listing" permission.

You should be able to create a "thank you for signing up page" in your CMS and within the profile settings, put that URL for the redirect URL under advanced settings. That way, they get directed to this new page once they submit (or save) the profile.
