Localhost Install Issue with 2.1 Alpha 2 and Joomla 1.5.5
August 14, 2008, 03:07:32 pm
(Moved from Installation Forum - chapmanla)

I am trying to do a clean install of CiviCRM 2.1 Alpha 2 on localhost with a Joomla 1.5.5 site.  Server Specs: WAMP Server - PHP 5.2.6, Apache 2.2.8, MySQL 5.0.5.  I get the following error:

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in C:\wamp\www\libraries\domit\xml_domit_lite_parser.php on line 138

I have made the time limit/memory modifications to both the php.ini and htaccess files (Note: the htaccess file I am working with is in my root folder (www) but is not a ".htaccess" file (i.e., no dot)).  With respect to the php.ini file, I modified the code in both the Apache php.ini file and the PHP php.ini file.

I am trying to do a directory install using the unpacked com_civcrm file.

I have successfully installed Civicrm previously.  In checking the forums, I see that in some cases http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,1285.0.htmlyou need to make sure php.ini is applied to all php folders through a " copyphp.php " command.  Since I had successfully installed previously, I didn't think I needed to do that. I did, however, put a copy of the modified php.ini file in the same folder as the domit files - I still get the error.

Any help is appreciated.

I have the same problem on www.horeca1.eu where I was installing civicrm 2.0.5 and then uninstalling with joomla 1.5.5 on bluehost
and now on thsi web site and also on www.hotel-supplies.biz where I was never installing civicrm using joomla 1.5.6 and civicrm 2.1 alfa2

I receive your error:

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home1/estufeco/public_html/horeca1/libraries/joomla/filesystem/folder.php on line 363

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home1/estufeco/public_html/hotel-supplies_biz/libraries/joomla/filesystem/folder.php on line 363

a good word is to try this link, I try it too now:

I hope you will give me a karma + for this ;)

my web bluehost server tol me that accept these little different codes in php.ini:
memory_limit = 64M
register_globals = off
max_execution_time = 600

and now i receive this error trying to install:
Cannot execute DROP TABLE IF EXISTS civicrm_domain: DB Error: constraint violation
the same that I was having with civicrm 2.1 alfa1 after installing and uninstalling civicrm 2.0.5
instead on a clean joomla 1.5.6 it go perfectly, instalation done on www.hotel-supplies.biz instead it look that i can't install again civicrm on www.horeca1.eu because few days ago I was installing and uninstalling civicrm 2.0.5..
