hi there,
I just started to look at cicicrm.
now I wonder whether there are any mailing list I could subscribe to?
(as I must addmit I do not like forums ..)

We have moved to forums from mailing lists  :) . You might want to check http://civicrm.org/mailinglists

You will get the posts via email. If you want to respond, you'll have to go to the forum.
