administrator versus user view on civicrm membership
June 15, 2007, 04:00:00 am
Hi,  I am new to this......

I am using civicrm and having trouble figuring out why the membership form view as an administrator is different from the membership view as a user.  The user is not recieving what I assume they should be.

We are using a two-phased registration process.  A person can become what we call a Friend of the organization by Registering and entering a user name and password.  We have attempted to add THREE FIELDS to the registration process.  FIrst Name, Last Name and a question regarding Receiving our NEWSLETTER.  None of these are custom fields.

WE also have a membership form which we added three additional CUSTOM fields to.

In both cases--- I clearly see the additional fields on my administrator View but when I go online as a different user the additional fields do not appear.

I am not sure where to find the sample model that you speak to.  I will keep looking.

Thank you...

I need a bit more detail on this. What menu link / url paths are you referring to for the 2 views? What are the differences that you're seeing that are unexpected? If you can point to url's on the public demo, and provide specifics - that would be easiest.

Vic - Please keep the discussion on this forum thread - as others can assist as well.

The public demo I referred to below is here:
http://demo.civicrm.org/drupal/

If you haven't checked out our online documentation - I would recommend spending some time with that:

If you feel that you need dedicated "hand-holding" / consulting help - you can either contact folks on our Professional Services listings:

and/or post your needs on the Professional Services board on this forum:
