Initial Fee & Discount for Multipule Memberships?

Is it possible to require a $20 one-time registration fee?

Also, is it possible to offer a 50% discount for multiple memberships for members of the same family?

Currently I don't think it is possible to do this in CiviCRM.

You can use normal membership page for this. So basically you can create membership type with duration 1 "lifetime". So i guess it can be treated as one time.

IMO, this is not possible..

I was looking for the same functionality.

In our organization, we charge a $5.00 initial fee on top of the Membership due.

This fee is also required if you go past due for renewal.

Membership: $45.00 /pa
Initial Fee: $5.00
Reinstate: $5.00 (this is charged if the renewal is not paid before membership expires)

Lobo et all - Can we suggest a feature like this is added in the (hopefully near) future?

You might want to add this feature to the phase 2 specs here: http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRM/CiviMember+-+Phase+2+Specifications

Your org might want to consider sponsoring the implementation of CiviMember Phase 2.

I would love to do so, but we do not have any funds on the regional level. As soon as we finish our installation, I hope I will be able to take it to the National Organisation, and hopefully they have some funds we are able to donate to the implementation.

Just FYI, the National organisation have a person, designated to help local chapters implement Joomla...

What amount are we speaking of?
