Multiple Choice Save and New

I'm working on a Veterans Service Org web site, and our membership form has a number of custom data multiple choice fields that can be very cumbersome to create.

just two examples:
Branch of Service -- active, reserves, national guard, commissioned corps, and academies = 19 total choices.
Highest Rank -- enlisted, warrant, commissioned, and cadet = 24 total choices.

It would be a great time- and step-saver if the > New Option for '[custom field name]' had a button for "Save and New" instead of only "Save" and "Cancel".

I have no idea if that is possible in the same way as the page to create new custom data fields has "Save and New", but it would be REALLY nice :)

can you file an issue for this. we'll take care of it in 2.2. I suspect adding this is trivial, if so, we might add it to 2.1

in general if you have a large number of options, might be easier to create one item in the option_value table and then use mysql to load the rest (if you are sql savvy). might be much faster than doing it via the UI

Thanks for the tip -- I wouldn't call myself "savvy", but I'm far less skittish than I used to be!

I'm trying out every bit of the UI, see how everything works or doesn't, trying to set up as much as possible of our "daily operations" stuff before I let in the org.officers who NEED the UI  ;)
