Binding civiCRM members with joomla users ?
August 26, 2008, 12:37:34 am
With civiCRM is it possible to have a registration forum which creates a user in both civiCRM and Joomla! ?. The reason I ask is that I only want registered users to see certain CiviCRM front-end items - and I can control this by Joomla!'s user management.

Is this the best way to go about this? or Is their a better way?

The best way to go about this is to switch to Drupal.

I assume you mean form rather than forum. Yes it is possible http://issues.civicrm.org/jira/browse/CRM-3191?page=com.atlassian.jira.ext.fisheye:fisheye-issuepanel
