Drupal user can't send CiviMail mailings
August 26, 2008, 08:52:36 pm
When I assign a Drupal user privileges to use CiviMail, they get a message saying they need to create a new mailing and then when they click on the link it says, "To send a mailing, you must have a valid group of recipients - either at least one group that's a Mailing List or at least one previous mailing." But when logged in as the 1st user, I have a number of mailing to choose from. All groups are assigned to accept mailings.

Is there something I'm missing? I feel like it's something simple, but I'm just not quite finding it... I have also synched all Drupal users to CiviCRM contacts.

Any help would be much appreciated

Probably by just clicking on to the link doesn't logged them in, and you didn't provided the permissions on groups to the anonymous users. to send a mailing one should have permissions on civiMail as well as groups.

No, I'm quite sure they are logged in to both drupal and civicrm. When you say permissions are you referring to Drupal Access control or CiviCRM permissions. If CiviCRM, where do I go to set these permissions.

I figured out what the issue was. Drupal users need to have the permission "View all Contacts" checked off in order to send a mailing. Hope this helps others in the same position!
