Display of summary information for CiviMember, CiviContribute and CiviEvent
August 27, 2008, 08:20:38 am
Hi,
We are running CiviCRM 2.1 alpha3 with Drupal 6.4. When I click on the link for CiviMember, the summary information quickly flashes and then disappears, seemingly replaced by the words "Membership Summary" followed by a question mark and a down arrow. If I click on the down arrow, the links that I need to "Find Contacts" and "Import batches of membership records (for example) are present. These links used to appear above the membership groups and were immediately available after clicking on the link for CiviMember. The same behavior is true for the CiviContibute and CiviEvent modules. Is this behavior by design or is it a "bug"? I am able to replicate this on the demo site.

Thanks,
Cynthia

That is by design. All the links/description are hidden in a tooltip. We had feedback from folks asking to make the screens tighter, since once they knew what to do that space was occupying valuable screen real estate etc

your thoughts?

Hi lobo,
I would tend to agree. It sort of threw me at first because it was different, but I think it is fine the way it is. The re-display might be a bit "smoother" and it might be helpful to add a brief comment like "click here for more options", but neither of these things are big deals (to me).

Thanks and hope all goes well with you,
Cynthia
