Install Error CiviCRM-2.1.Beta3-Joomla 1.5.6 PARSE ERROR

I received this error during the install of CiviCRM:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in /home2/ntahrmmz/public_html/administrator/components/com_civicrm/civicrm/CRM/Core/Config.php on line 58

The host is BlueHost
Joomla _1_5_6
CiviCRM-2.1.Beta3-Joomla

The code on lines
54   /**
55     * the dsn of the database connection
56     * @var string
57     */
58    public $dsn;

Can I fix this?  What do I need to do to finish the install?

Can't see any syntax error in that file. Release test installs didn't throw any such error. Someone running on same host could confirm the problem.

You sure your host meets the minimum requirement - http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/Install+2.1+for+Joomla ?

most likely u r running a php4 server. CiviCRM requires php5.

That was it.  Bluehost helped me change to PHP 5 and the install was successful and totally automatic!!
