Looking around CiviContribute I'm finding it a little shy on reports.  How are other running reports?

Does no one collect the info that CiviCRM collects and admins and produces reports for committees?  I'm finding good info on a member but not a way to export to a .odt file for including in a presentation.

Am I missing something?
