Dojo Quick Search Error

Hi,

I'm using CiviCRM 2.0.6 and my dojo quick search is no longer working (noticed this first on 2.0.4, upgraded today). Any ideas on what has gone awry? My global settings > resource urls and directories look good. I cleared out templates_c....am I missing something?

Not able to replicate on my local CiviCRM v2.0 install. Can you copy+paste error message.

there is no error message...that's what I mean. When I type into the dojo quick search box, it does not start offering me results or autofilling...it's like i'm typing into a normal text field that doesn't do anything until I hit enter. I assume it's the ajax that isn't working all of a sudden or something along these lines....any ideas?

hey lobo,

it's not super urgent, so i'll stay on the forum in case anyone else ever needs this help. so i get this error in firebug when i type into the quick search box:

/sites/all/modules/civicrm/packages/dojo/dojo/dojo.js"
"missing ) in parenthetical"
line 20

am confused since i just upgraded to 2.0.6 so i don't have any custom changes other than my custom template files (which i temporarily removed from the server to make sure they weren't causing the issue). ideas?

Any other dojo widgets working? Check Contact Summary.
Note that dojo search works only on CiviCRM pages.

good point, kurund. all the other dojo widgets work fine. because this was puzzling, i tested out on 4 other machines. 2 of them (macs) quick search dojo doesn't work on FF, Safari, and Opera (but other dojos are fine). Then 1 mac and 1 windows machine everything worked fine with both FF and IE. Puzzling....browser compatibility issue maybe?

P.S. On the computers that the quick dojo does not work on, it works fine on the CiviCRM drupal demo site.

But again, I did a revision upgrade two days ago to 2.0.6, replacing my CiviCRM module directory with the 2.0.6 code in case I had modified the code somehow. It did not fix the dojo....

AH HA.

The Drupal devel module is the problem. I knew it didn't make sense that it worked on the demo site and not on my site. Turning off Drupal Devel fixes the issue. Odd that the other dojos work fine with it, though.
