CiviEvent - Who's coming and what are they signed up for?
September 04, 2008, 12:28:05 pm
I'm using v1.9x. I've defined an event with a whole bunch of custom fields and options for the users/registrants to select.

How do I get a report of who is registered with access to these details? I am hoping there is some kind of report or reporting plugin I can offer the client so that this registration information is actually useful.

The situation is that the client is almost ready to have the actual event, so my time is limited. Can anyone help to offer me some direction?

As always - thank you for any help you are able to offer.

Regards,

Adam

Are there any reporting features in CiviCRM to list who is coming to the event and what they are signed up for in 1.9x?

Hi,

They are custom fields on the participants on the contact ?

On 2.0 they are custom searches that would do the trick, but not familiar with 1.9 featureset unfortunately

Nimzie,

Quick solution - you might want to export the list of participants based on search meeting your conditions. Slightly more labour intensive solutions: create a report using BIRT (http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/CiviReport) or upgrade to 2.1, when it's available and assemble a custom search meeting your needs.

Thx,
m

Yes, they're custom fields and price set information bits. I'll have to see how I'm able to export this. I'm finding the more I look around, the more I should upgrade this install to 2.x.

I know there must be 100s of docs around on how to's, but is this risky business?

Cheers,

Adam

When you refer to exporting the list based on a search .. Do I just do this from advanced search? Do I need anything additional in order to export from there?

Thanks for the tips.

Cheers,

If you're looking for "registration details" (custom Participant fields / price set data) - I think you'll get some or most of what you need using the "Find Participants" search and then export from there. The Advanced Search results will only give you contact info.

That said, I think there are some "holes" in the data exported by 1.9 - and I don't recall how / if price set data is exported. This has definitely been improved in 2.1.
