Any way to... Reusable List (Drop Down) of Event Locations?

One of our clients holds regular events at a small set of locations. They have requested to pull from the database the event location information, rather than enter redundant info every time.

Has anyone seen this as a feature or feature request, or implemented it themselves?

This is on the issue queue for 2.2 and will be part of that release (sometime towards the end of this year)

can i just use those files with a 2.0 implementation, and simply overwrite them?

you can try and see if it works. there is a decent chance it will work with a few minor tweaks.
