I run a site for CPR instructors. Is there a way that we can easily set a Lead instructor when we create the event so that the instructor will be listed in the registered users and also is there a way to create a field so that instructor is listed in the event description.
Also, I have three participant status' Lead Instructor, Instructor and students. Is there a way I only count students registrations towards the max registered?

I guess you will have to use Custom Search for this.

You could create a Custom Field Group with "Used For" = Events - and then create an Instructor Name field. This field would then become part of the "Create / Edit Event" forms - and would show up on the Event Info screen displayed to registering users.

Version 2.1 allows you to control which participant "statuses" are "counted" against max registered. (However, if the above are Participant Roles - rather than Statuses - this won't do the trick for you.)
