Relationship in Profile
June 21, 2007, 09:02:47 am
I've just implemented CiviCRM with a new Drupal site for my organization and it's working out great. The one issue I seem to be having is setting things up for when new people register on my site to associate the fields with the proper Civi fields. The biggest problem is around associating a person with an organization. I know that using custom fields, you can only use fields of one type (i.e. Individual, Organization, ...), so adding an organization field won't work. What I was hoping to do was have a field that would map straight to a relationship. So, what would look to an outside like an organization field, would really be them filling in the equivalent of "Employee of." However, from the fields I can select to make a field, relationships are not listed. Is there any way to do this that I'm missing? Right now, the Organization field maps to name their Main Location, but that's not ideal. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Never mind. Found information that this is being worked on for 1.8. Thanks.
