Joomla 1.5.7 - civiCRM 2.1 beta 4 problem
September 10, 2008, 03:29:39 pm
Hi,

I have tried to install civiCRM in my Joomla installation. I have a local installation on my PC. I have all the requirements, I edited the php.ini according to the settings posted in installation guide. When I run the installation from the directory I go nowhere. I keep getting a blank screen and the component doesn't install.

I have tried the installation several times. I also tried using the older version with Joomla 1.0.x and had the same problem.

Any clues? :'(

Thanks.

Can you check apache error logs and see what it reports immediately after you get the blank page.
Also did you restart apache after you made your php.ini settings?

Searching forum for similar problem might give you more clues.

Yes, I restarted everything and there's nothing on the logs.

What exact versions of php & mysql you using ?

What changes were made to php.ini ? Can you also check /w phpinfo() if the changes are in effect.

(Please also do forum search. There are plenty of such posts and can give you more clues.)
