Multi-select query issue
September 10, 2008, 05:48:16 pm
Hello

Wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction.

We are setting up CiviCRM 2.0.6 with Joomla 1.5.6 for a client.

A custom profile form has been set up for searching.  It contains a multi-select list box of states (Australian states eg NSW, VIC, SA etc).

When the search query executes it uses a SQL 'AND' - we need to change this to an 'OR'.

I am ok at changing code but not so good at finding the right place in the vastness of CiviCRM :)

I'd like to know which file I should hack.

Thank you so much.

Peta

If you mean in Advanced Search, and if this is custom data, there is an option to add "use SQL or" in but I can't find the post on this. otherwise you need to use Search Builder.

This was the (or one of the) posts that dealt with 'sql or' in Advanced Search (though still unsure if I am answering the right question) http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,3215.0.html
