Bug in click-through tracking
June 21, 2007, 10:32:51 am
Doing a small test mailout (in CiviCRM 1.6.8284), I noticed that the same URL with the same parameters seems to be being sent out to all of my recipients for click-through tracking:

       http://OurSite.com/drupal/sites/all/modules/civicrm/extern/url.php?q=11&u=8

The click-through report page shows the correct number of click throughs, but of course it is incorrectly reporting who clicked the links.

Has this been fixed in 1.7?

Dan

Not sure if u filed a bug report for this in 1.6 (if not, why not?)

We've fixed quite a few things with CiviMail url tracking/token substitution. If i had to guess, i suspect the bug is fixed :). You might want to download 1.7 and check it out. If the bug is still present, file and issue and we'll take care of it in 1.8

filing an issue is the best way to ensure a bug gets fixed and resolved

I believe it was fixed with either r9053 or r9134 on branches/v1.7, so upgrading to CiviCRM 1.7 should do the trick. The issue relevant to r9053 was CRM-1739.
