CiviCRM version for multiple registrations
September 14, 2008, 08:14:25 pm
I'm using Drupal 5.x with CiviCRM2.0.4, and my client (and the conference attendees) would like to have the capability to regsiter multiple people at once for a conference.  I've been reading through the forums on this, and if I'm reading correctly, this capability exists now, but only in 2.1, which only works with Drupal 6.  Is that correct?

Thanks.

Yes the ability to register multiple people on a single transaction comes in civicrm 2.1 which requires drupal 6.

But there is also a effort underway that is evaluating making a version of 2.1 that will run under drupal 5. This is NOT an official project but is being considered by a few users.

So does this mean in the stand alone version we cannot have multiple registrations? If so, how is that configured?

Thank you

Multiple registration for events was added in CiviCRM v2.1, so if you are using CiviCRM Standalone v2.1, this feature is available.

Go to Configure Event >> Online Registration, then check "Register Multiple Participants?"

Civi 2.1 works with drupal, joomla and as as standalone

As written in the announcement:
http://civicrm.org/node/451
# Joomla! 1.5 and Drupal 6 compatibility (CiviCRM 2.1 is NOT compatible with Drupal 5.x or Joomla! 1.0.x)
# Production-ready "standalone" version of CiviCRM (with thanks to U.S. PIRG)
