Hi everyone.

I'm experiencing a really weird bug/problem. I'm relatively new to civiCRM and I've been searching for a reference to this issue to no avail. Hence, this post.

I have a new install of CiviCRM with Drupal. I've imported a bunch of contact records (about 6000). These contact are members of various groups. I have a form on my website that allows anonymous web site users to add their name to the mailing list. When they do, their contact info SHOULD be added as a new record and then added to a particular group. The problem is every sign up is not added as a new contact but overwrites contact record 5188. This seems really weird. Anyone have any ideas?

How was that form built? What fields (visible and hidden) are in the form? (You might want to post the form source code here ...)
