I'm trying to set up a contribution page to use for membership signups, i.e. that contribution page should be available to the public without login, and it's using a profile to gather personal data on the person who wants to sign up as a member as well. I've encountered a few problems while testing this with the live contribution (still set to PayPal Sandbox however).

1) When I fill out the form and complete the payment while not logged in, a CiviCRM individual record is created, the contribution record however is not saved. Only when I test this with a logged in user is the contribution saved.

2) The name of the contributor is set to the name on their credit card, as input in PayPal, NOT the name they provide in the profile on the contribution page.

I'm currently using CiviCRM 1.7.9379 on Joomla 1.09.
