Problem Adding CiviContrib option to front end
September 15, 2008, 09:59:31 am
Ok I am not sure what I am missing but from the doc it seems like this should be so easy.  I am running civiCRM 2.1 beta2 on Joomla 1.5.7

I am trying to add the newly created contribution page to the fron in via the menu manager.  Problem is the docs day this..

Click Menu on top navigation bar and select the menu you want to add the Profile link to (for example - mainmenu).
Click New icon (top right).
Click Component radio button (top right entry in Components group).

In 1.5 you have no (Component radio button) instead you can select CiviCRM under the Internal Links.  When I do that it make a menu link but I have no place to input the ID for the civicrm contribution page that I just created.

I tested the page in the back end and it works.  Really confused here  any ideas?

THANKS!

Thanks for responding.  However when I referred to the DOCs it was exactly what u gave me a link for.  I think that the beta just doesn't work with 1.5 .   I have reinstalled the latest stable release and with J 1.5 in legacy mode it works.

Thanks

CiviCRM v2.1 does work with joomla v1.5. Legacy mode is strictly NOT recommended and NOT required for CiviCRM v2.1

We just updated the doc for Joomla v1.5. Please check again.
