menu displayed twice

Hi,

On drupal, with various update on the svn branch 2.1

Beside the regular column on drupal with the search and shortcut, I get another one right to it, with more or less the same content:


CiviCRM

    * CiviCRM Home
    * Find Contacts
    * Manage Groups
    * Import
    * CiviMail
    * CiviEvent
    * Administer CiviCRM
    * Log out

CiviCRM Shortcuts

    * New Individual
    * New Organization
    * New Household
    * New Activity
    * New Group
    * My Contact Dashboard

Contact Search

» Advanced Search
New Individual

...


That's probably trivial, but can't find where to disable that column. (did I mess with standalone once in the process ?)

Any suggestion appreciated.

The comonWidgets are called twice.

those appear on "CiviCRM Home" -- right?
Same on Joomla. I think they're intentional, but I've always felt like it didn't make much sense to have them there either.

Really, unless you use activities for internal staff communication/"to do" lists, the home page is not very useful. Maybe we could do some community brainstorming to come up with some other uses for the homepage (stats or something).

They do appear twice, that's not the case on the sandox

It has only one menu on the left, as it should, I still have two, as it shouldn't ;(

P.S. As for the what to put on the home page, what is your idea ?  (start a new thread, that's not about 2.1 testing anymore)

Maybe we're talking about different things. The menus *do* appear twice on the sandbox homepage you've referenced. Once in the left sidebar (main menu throughout CiviCRM) and once on the right side of the CiviCRM homepage.
