Civimail error
September 20, 2008, 09:03:52 pm
Hi,

The following errors occurred with both beta 4 & 5 Standalone on a Bluehost system when I tried to send a test message with Civimail. This is the first time I'm using the civimail package, so I don't know whether it's a beta issue.

The following was found in the MAIN error log:
Code: [Select]
[Sat Sep 20 21:52:32 2008] [error] [client 71.xxx.xxx.xx] sh: New Mailing: command not found, referer: http://XXX.com/civicrm/standalone/index.php?q=civicrm/mailing/send&_qf_Test_display=true&qfKey=461fa4ede22781992eef1655edbdd5a4_2298
[Sat Sep 20 21:52:33 2008] [error] [client 71.xxx.xx.xx] sh: New Mailing: command not found, referer: http://XXX.com/civicrm/standalone/index.php?q=civicrm/mailing/send&_qf_Test_display=true&qfKey=461fa4ede22781992eef1655edbdd5a4_2298
[Sat Sep 20 21:52:34 2008] [error] [client 71.xxx.xx.xx] sh: Preview Mailing: command not found, referer: http://XXX.com/civicrm/standalone/index.php?q=civicrm/mailing/send&_qf_Test_display=true&qfKey=461fa4ede22781992eef1655edbdd5a4_2298
[Sat Sep 20 21:52:35 2008] [error] [client 71.xxx.xx.xx] sh: Preview Mailing: command not found, referer: http://XXX.com/civicrm/standalone/index.php?q=civicrm/mailing/send&_qf_Test_display=true&qfKey=461fa4ede22781992eef1655edbdd5a4_2298

This one was found in the PHP error log
Code: [Select]
[20-Sep-2008 21:56:31] PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library '/usr/local/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-zts-20060613/ixedts.lin' - /usr/local/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-zts-20060613/ixedts.lin: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory in Unknown on line 0
Thoughts?

Did you verify if your mailing settings are correct using "save and send test email" on "Global Settings >> Outbound Email (SMTP/Sendmail)" screen ?

The log-record doesn't look very helpful (roughly indicates some command/php-extension is missing). Could you try putting o/p of backtrace.

The test email in global settings does work.

I know how to set the "backtrace" on but where do I find the output? (Forgive me, I'm a bit of newbie.)

Go to  CiviCRM  » Administer CiviCRM  » Global Settings  » Debugging

CiviMail completes the operation and appears to send out the mailing, but it isn't received. There is no fatal error generated.
