Drumla or Joomla?
September 21, 2008, 08:18:47 am
I loaded joomla 1.5.6 and civicrm 2.1
I have added some custom fields, but not too much
I imported some records, but not too much

It appears from the documentation that civicrm like drumla more than joomla

Should I convert to drumla?

and if I should convert to drumla, is there a way to convert without recreating all the custom stuff?

Hey,

From what I understand, you're talking about Joomla vs. Drupal decision. Please search through this forum, different pros and cons regarding this dilemma has been discussed here many times.

There is no automated way to shift the CiviCRM install between Joomla and Drupal. If you have enough mysql/CiviCRM expertise, you might want to try to move the database in between two installs, however, I would personally encourage you to start over with your new installation.

Thx,
m
