Scottish Users

Hello UK,

Is there anyone in the top bit of the UK using Civicrm who would be interested in meeting up? I am based in Cupar, Fife and am currently evaluating Civicrm for Elmwood College.

Cheers,
Douglas.

I've not heard of anyone using CiviCRM in Scotland (yet) but that doesn't mean they don't exist!  Someone might come out of the woodwork at some point.  Until that happens, I'd be happy to talk to you about it.

You might also consider asking this question on the UK riders mailing list http://lists.lasa.org.uk/lists/arc/ukriders/ an email list for non profit technology professionsal (aka Circuit Riders) in the UK.

With over 3,000 views, who's reading this, if not in Scotland?

Still trying to find some Scottish CiviCRM installations.

Anyone out there??

I can answer in why I am reading this post although I am not a Scottish User.

I am always looking for things I can learn about Civi and ways I can contribute.  I log on to the forums most days and click on "unread posts since you last visit".  Today your post was at the top of the list.

What I notice for each post is the subject (the forum board is also shown, but I don't take that in when I am scanning the posts)   Your post doesn't say 'I want to find another user who lives in Scotland' or 'Only read this if you live in Scotland'.

So I thought - What is so special about a Scottish user - does he want to use a different word somewhere or is it something to do with tax or ???   So I am reading your post.

I'm also interested in a meetup north of the border. I did some probing a while back using Twitter etc to see if I could find users, consultants, developrs etc in Scotland, and came up with one or two contacts. More would be welcome, and I'm happy to do some legwork to try to build that over cvoming months, with a view to a meetup in the autumn sometime.

I am based in Edinburgh and would be very interested in a Scottish meet up I have just started using CiviCRM, but still in the development stage.
