i got civicrm WORKING on joomla 1.5.7!

I don't know how i did it, but i know i got it installed using JoomlaPC on my local desktop.

I've been trying for over 1 month to get this to work. I have wasted so much of my time getting this to install that i am not prepared to help everyone who needs it through response in this forum.

However, because there have been so many of you that tried helping me, please contact me through private message and i will allow you access to the .jpa file i created through JoomlaPack of my successful installation of CiviCRM 2.1.6 on Joomla 1.5.7. I hope this doesn't break any GNU license agreements (after all I'm not trying to sell it, I'm just trying to provided a means of support) ONLY FOR A LIMITED TIME. I'm on a godaddy shared host so i don't have that much bandwidth.

I just realized that once you finish the joomlapack reinstallation and you get the site running on the remote server you need to still edit two files.

.../administrator/components/com_civicrm/civicrm.settings.php
.../administrator/components/com_civicrm/civicrm/civicrm.config.php

Best of luck, let me know if anyone wants the file!

I assume you are talking about Civic 2.1.0 and not 2.1.6 right?
