test drive with authorize.net erros

This is my first post to the forum.

I posted the follow by email to the dev-list.  So I am starting over here in the child forum for civicontribute.

I am working on a test site which uses authorize.net.  Have configured a
contribution page.  I am using the "test-drive" function.  After filling in
the credit card number expiration date and an amount and clicking on the
complete transaction button I receive the following error:

Payment Processor Error message:
9001:Unknown System Error.

Kieran's first suggestion follows.

Try this CiviCRM URL: civicrm/admin/setting/payment?reset=1

Have not tried this yet and I will will but, I don't understand. "reset", this is my first test of a contribution transaction what would need to be reset?

Marshal suggested the following:

it looks like the main thing that would cause an "unknown error" is if the curl extension is not available.

I don't know what the "curl extension is".  Is is something I would see from a phpinfo display?

Larry -  phpInfo will show you if cURL support is enabled. If you need info on how to display this - check out this FAQ:
