The software you are talking about is just a prepackaged version of Drupal with a specific list of modules. So I don't think there should be any need for any special support or a special to make it compatible. It should be compatible right out of the box.

You are welcome to test and identify any problems that need to be investigated.

Is there any plans for CiviCRM to become an Acquia "Community Module"?  http://acquia.com/products-services/acquia-drupal-modules

I am working with a client that is going to upgrade to from Drupal 5 to 'Acquia' Drupal 6 and wants to use CiviCRM with it.  I don't personally see a problem with this, unless CiviCRM 2.x will somehow interfere with the "auto update" feature of the Acquia package or hold up the updates.  Since you guys have been really good with keeping things updated I don't see a problem.

However I'd appreciate hearing from one of the CiviCRM bigwigs about how they you feel about Acquia - your impressions in general.  Thanks!

I think thats more of a question to the olks at acquia than us. I suspect they pick and choose the modules they plan to support. I also suspect, civicrm will not be high on that list (primarily since its fairly big, not drupal specific etc)
