Help! "Could not find a user id"
October 04, 2008, 02:19:55 pm
I had the last beta release installed, then yesterday followed the instructions to upgrade to 2.1 stable.  I checked everything out yesterday, and all seemed fine.  Today, I went in to update some registrations for CiviEvent (I am the admin user on both CiviCRM and Drupal), and got this error message:
"We could not find a user id. You must be logged in to access the CiviCRM Home Page and menus."

I am logged in to Drupal, but I tried logging out and then back in, just on the off chance that would fix it.  Somehow, CiviCRM seems to have deleted this user . . . I can't figure out how to get it back.  Please help!

Hallelujah, I fixed my own problem!
The problem was not in the update, but rather in the contact I had entered soon after, related to another event.  Somehow the name for that contact overwrote my admin user's email, thus screwing the whole thing up.  I was able to fix it from the Drupal side.
