From where is the civicrm_project table filled

Hello,

I'm working on a data synchronization tool between CiviCRM and an application from a customer. I didn' find from where in CiviCRM the project table is filled. I just want to understand if it can be used to store "real" projects. But I don't find the feature in the GUI which fills it.

The project table is not currently used in the current version of civicrm. We have used it in some custom consulting contracts and will probably expose project / task functionality in a future release of civicrm
