how to change organization?

I am relatively new to Civi.  When I go to Membership Types, one question it asks is "Membership Organization", and the test data indicates "Inner City Arts".

Where do I go to change that data and what does it mean to the site?

Should it be the Organization's Name? (this site is for one organization only)

Many thanks!

Yes, the "Organization Name" is the link to the organization which users are joining (i.e. I'm becoming a member of "XYZ Organization" when I select this membership type). For your situation, create an Organization type contact record for the organization which owns this site (New Organization link). Then select this Organization when creating membership type(s).

Dave - thanks.  How can I remove the other organizations?

If you're re-using the sample membership types, use the "Change" button while editing the membership type to find and select "your" organization.

Once you have membership types set that you need, then delete the other "sample" membership types. Finally, you can use Find Contacts to find and then delete any sample contacts in the DB that your don't want.

OR, if you're just getting started with this site, you might want to re-install and this time do NOT load the sample data.
